TNR's Kaplan plans to vote for Bush over Dean or other similarly "weak" candidates.
Further supporting the idea that TNR plans to endorse Bush in the primary, Lawrence Kaplan makes the following statement in the engoing argument between the Lieberman supporters and those vainly struggling to retain what little relevancy TNR has left in the wake of their endorsement.
If the Democrats nominate a weak opponent--and here I mean one with weak principles, as opposed to one with merely weak electoral prospects, which is to say the very candidate Jon [Chait] attacks daily in his anti-Dean blog (but whom he presumably thinks would make a stronger general election candidate than Lieberman)--I will indeed vote for Bush in 2004.
If/when TNR does endorse Bush can we please all finally heave them over the side of the collective liberal ship?
